Hours Per Shift: 8 hr
Provides direct leadership and guidance to staff to ensure that high level of cleanliness, quality and service is achieved and maintained. Maintain a high level of cleanliness in assigned areas. Assign personnel to established work areas or project duties. Plan and coordinate project work to ensure that proper frequencies are maintained. Ensure that staff receive proper orientation, initial training and ongoing education. Ensure that proper supply control guidelines are followed and staff is trained in the use of all chemicals. Use a proactive approach to identifying and correcting facility quality assurance concerns. Provide and monitor individual guidance and motivation to associates to enable each one to perform to fullest potential. Ensure high quality percentage of clean is maintained in areas of assignment. Perform Quality Assurance Inspections as assigned.Monitor daily equipment use, cleaning and maintenance. Ensure that all equipment is clean and professional in appearance at all times. Prepare associate disciplinary and variance reports and conduct follow-up investigation as needed, reporting findings to appropriate leader. Participate in department safety and maintain a safe work environment at all times. Report all unsafe equipment and acts. Assure that the integrity of security at the facility is maintained at all times. Ensure office, storage and closets are clean, organized, well maintained and professional in appearance at all times.
Coordinates and oversees operations and activities of EVS employees. Coordinate the daily administrative support operations within a complex/varied work environment. Assist in resolving problems related to EVS operations. Provide expertise on the internal processes to ensure optimal department productivity and customer service. Knowledge of organization policies and procedures. Knowledge of fiscal management and human resources management. Knowledge of computer system and applications. Knowledge of health care EVS Procedures. Skill in verbal and written communications. Skill in gathering, analyzing and interpreting information. Ability to exercise initiative, problem solving, and decision-making. Ability to apply policies and principles to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations. Ability to work effectively with patients, physician, staff and the public. Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions. Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Ability to react calmly and effectively in stressful situations.
Post secondary education or equivalent training in a health care or business related field is required; Associate degree required. Must have at least 3 years of applicable experience, with previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Computer skills sufficient to operate online systems and complex software with advanced functionality. Oral and written communication skills sufficient to interpret and apply policies and procedures for clarification and problem resolution. Must be able to work independently within role. Understanding of medical terminology encouraged.
