Job Summary

Uses strong working knowledge of business intelligence tools to create a culture of self-service. Collects and organizes detailed information and complex concepts for the development of tools and infrastructure that results in actionable information for the organization. Helps others turn data into information and effectively prepares and presents information. Visionary that continually challenges the limits of data and analytics in healthcare and especially Sanford Health. Assists in researching, planning, designing and troubleshooting solutions to align with business needs of the organization. Responsible for creating and maintaining systems, applications, and products (SAP) universes and high performance analytic appliance (HANA) views as well as assisting with complex uses of other SAP reporting tools such as Webi, Explorer, Lumira, and Dashboards.

Works with dimensional modeling and assists data virtualization team to bring disparate systems together in correlation with organizational priorities. Develops code for end users to assist in the automation of descriptive data. Plays a pivotal role in researching new business intelligence tools; trains on new technologies and systems when needed.

Continuously searches for opportunities of automating manual processes and developing on-demand tools for descriptive data. Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail; organizes and prioritizes tasks effectively. Works extensively with multiple computer based applications. Makes independent and timely decisions when circumstances warrant; conceptualizes the abstract. Seeks out new information and knowledge and embraces new responsibilities. Possesses patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, as well as the willingness and ability to handle difficult situations. Conducts themselves in a professional manner at all times.

Employee will be part of EDA Technical Team to support Research initiatives for Common Data Model.

Department Details

Their primary focus is to build free-flowing data pipelines by combining a variety of big data technologies that enable real-time analytics. Ability to write complex queries to ensure that data is easily accessible.

Proven experience successfully manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large and disconnected data sets

Experience with automation and configuration management


Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) related majors.

Strong background in database structure required. Experience in SQL, R and Python preferred.
