JOB SUMMARY

The Executive Director, Acute Care Applications leads the implementation, operation, and maintenance of all components of the applications that support all acute care functions (Ambulatory, Inpatient, Ancillary, and Clinical Departmental applications). The role is expected to promote quality, and drive business value in compliance with internal and external policies and procedures. This role works closely with appropriate governing bodies and other IT leaders to ensure high quality service delivery, ongoing strategic partnership and application support. The role partners with acute care functions and other end users to support and inform the financial and strategic management of clinical applications used to enable the enhanced performance of acute care functions. Finally, this role serves as a resource to leadership within and beyond technology services to proactively identify, assess, and prioritize meaningful opportunities to use clinical applications within clinical or non-clinical settings, and to develop the people, processes, and technologies to achieve that objective. Implement and champion a robust professional development program, and continuously up skill team members to keep them current. Evaluate team members' performance, provide candid feedback and high impact coaching that enables and motivates employees to achieve departmental as well as enterprise goals.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business or a related field; Master’s Degree preferred in Business or a related field.

Ten years of experience and related management experience in technology, application support and development, preferably in a healthcare environment. Deep expertise in Epic’s clinical application as well as the Revenue Cycle applications (e.g. Billing, HIM, EpicLink, ADT, Cadence). Proven experience in vendor relationship management, financial and budget planning, resource management, and project management. Proven experience in developing and maintaining effective relationships with customers.

Preferably certified in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation or willing to be trained in ITIL Foundation.
