Facilitates provider peer review processes at a regional level. Assists in the monitoring of quality of care provided in inpatient and outpatient settings through focused studies and assigned routine monitoring, utilizing defined guidelines and criteria of the Medical Staff. Gathers clinical data, prepares summary reports, and presents findings derived from data systems and ongoing monitoring activities to persons and committees for use in Medical Staff peer review processes and activities to include case review, Ongoing and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation, and evaluation of provider applications for appointment, reappointment and request for clinical privileges. Collaborates with regional counterparts to standardize processes and provide assistance as necessary. Expert clinical knowledge of medical disease processes and medical/procedural terminology. Ability to apply critical thinking and problem solving skills when working with data and people. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines and demands of medical staff services, Medical Staff and administration. Must possess ability to maturely handle a variety of problems and situations, sometimes of an urgent and/or confidential nature. Must be able to work independently and use independent judgment to perform a wide variety of tasks in a professional way.




Must hold current and unrestricted license by the applicable state's Board of Nursing. Graduation from a NLN or AACN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable. Current South Dakota RN license is required or multi-state licensure privileges. Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
