JOB SUMMARY

The VP of supply chain is responsible for creating savings within the entire enterprise supply chain and aggressively pursuing cost-saving opportunities with internal stakeholders, supplier channel partners — primarily manufacturers, distributors and group purchasing organizations (GPOs). Negotiation skills are key, as each of these channel participants is seeking to increase total value as well as market share for its products and services. Key architect of organizational supply chain vision and strategy, this role drives efficiency and cost effectiveness for over $1.2 billion in non-labor spend management. Requires executive leadership to integrate excellent team building skills, process discipline, and technology to deliver superior execution across large scale, complex operations. Leads team to maintain disciplined focus on transformation of logistical operations and to eliminate non value-added variation in supplies and services. Areas of focus include contracting, clinical engagement, value analysis, information data management, procure to pay, inventory, warehousing, inventory, distribution, and transportation services. This role creates a sustainable competitive advantage by developing organizational capabilities to deliver an world-class supply chain. Develops regular contact schedule and communication channels to cultivate relationships across the enterprise, including physician leadership, market executive teams, clinical leadership, service line leaders, supply chain leadership, Group Purchasing Organizations, industry, and trading partners.

  • Aggressively engage stakeholders and effectively communicate frequently

  • Build and execute organizational supply chain strategy

QUALIFICATIONS

Masters of Business Administration or Masters of Science in Supply Chain, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field required. A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience driving best practice with a large enterprise Supply Chain.
